The Schreiber's Come to Town

Joel, Nicole and Cecily came to visit us this past weekend. It is always so wonderful to see them and reconnect! Here is a fun family shot the last day they were here.

Having Cecily (who just turned 1) in our home helped us realize how non baby friendly or proof our home is. This is her caught red handed in our food pantry.

We did discover that fun can come cheap. Cecily was enthralled for a long time with a simple cardboard box.

Cecily also had a blast in our hammock. I think Joel and Preston had an even more fun time teasing her and playing with her in it.

In the end we realized that at least until Baby Boy Tippen is born, Preston's first love is still technology. (Of course I took the picture so I don't have much defense either.) Good thing this baby has a couple more months to incubate so Mom and Dad can be ready to keep him alive.

We love you Joel, Nicole and Cecily! Thanks for coming to visit us in little Marshfield.
Who else wants to come for a visit?!?!

5 Months Along

Here is Aimee at 20 weeks pregnant. We are finally over half way there. The baby is not even one pound yet though, but about 10 inches from head to foot. His new favorite activity is pushing on Aimee's bladder. Aimee's newest favorite pregnancy accessory is the Be Band: It even keeps unbuttoned pants up! (Thanks Mom T and Ali.)

What's Wrong with This Picture?

Do you remember those pictures in Highlights Magazine when you were a kid and you had to figure out what was wrong with the picture? Well here is a real life modern day one, just for kicks.

It seems that my "pregnancy brain" has kicked into high gear. I am not sure how long the cell phone was in the fridge since I don't remember putting it there. Furthermore, I am a bit concerned at what was supposed to go into the fridge and didn't... Too bad I don't remember what that was either.

Best Birthday Gift

Well, we did in fact make it to see Public Enemy last night, which by the way we both thought was a great movie. Johnny Depp did an awesome job in it.
Once we got to the movie and sat down, Baby Boy Tippen started going nuts inside Aimee. (Aimee has felt the baby for the past week or so but Preston couldn't feel him from the outside.) She quickly grabbed Preston's hand and put it on her tummy. Then the baby debuted his BIGGEST kick so far, just in perfect time. We both started giggling, and couldn't help but wonder what the people around us were thinking with Preston's hand down Aimee's pants and us both giggling. But who cares! It was a great birthday present and cap to a good night.

Birthday Fun

Today was Aimee's 26th Birthday. We celebrated by going to eat at Aimee's favorite coffeeshop/ cafe for dinner, then to Gordman's for a guilt free bedroom decorating shopping spree (Preston even got into picking stuff out!), and then a hike up Rib Mt. It was a relaxing evening. We will conclude it by going to see the new Johnny Depp movie, Public Enemies. That is if Aimee can stay awake that long. Thanks to everyone who sent Birthday wishes. Baby Boy Tippen wished Mommy a Happy B-day with many kicks to the lower abdomen and punches to the upper abdomen. :)

Baby Accessories

Our new car (we don't have a name for it yet, the baby's name has first priority.)
We thought that having a baby would be a good excuse to buy a new car. We decided on a 2008 Kia Rondo for our first family car. Aimee loves the safety ratings and cruise control (we needed to get her something nicer and in the 21st century). Preston loves the sunroof and radio with all kinds of gadgets.

The EX edition comes with a 3rd row of seating which is nice, but even better is it folds down to have lots of trunk space! Preston wants to put more climbing gear back there, but more likely it will be used for all the baby accessories we are accumulating!

Aimee at 18.5 weeks

There have been lots of changes in the Tippen household lately, including Aimee's belly.

Baby's First Pics- It's a BOY!

Here is our baby BOY's first pictures. (Not including the first ultrasound when he looked like a small blob.) This is him at 18 weeks along. Isn't he cute!

I think it's pretty clear he's a boy!
